Comfort Inn Ellsworth

The property was conveniently located with 2 major grocery stores across the street. If one forgot necessary clothing items, there is also a T.J. Max and a Maine must see store, Renys. I was in town for eye surgery and a 10% discount was given for cataract recipients. The fridge and microwave came in handy since I could not drive post surgery. I was greeted warmly by Gary and handed delicious chocolate chip cookies. I requested a quiet room (the hotel sits by a railroad) and he put me on the second floor. It was perfectly quiet. The breakfast isn’t anything to write home about, but fresh fruit and whole wheat toast would be my recommendation. They offered cereal and almond milk was available. The hot items were not personally my cup of tea. This has no bearing on how I felt about my stay. I came prepared to make my own breakfast. Hot soup is available throughout the rest of the day, which is a thoughtful touch. The room is well appointed & clean with plenty of towels. The mattress was amazing as were the pillows. If I could have fit it in my car, well, I would have been tempted! Heading back there tomorrow for two more nights for the other eye. Thumbs up!

Excellent and easy check in. Clean and comfortable room. Only stayed one night but was charged for two because of my error in the original booking, which I corrected several days before our arrival. Not the fault of this location but the management of Comfort Inn would not give us back the cost or a portion of the cost of the night we cancelled well in advance.

First, we were especially pleased to see how clean and fresh the room and bathroom were. Everything also looked updated and new. The staff was amazingly helpful and very pleasant. We have family in the area and should we come back we will definitely staff again. It was close to the restaurants we looked for, having LL Bean Outlet next door was an added plus :-). Nicely done. Thank you.

Clean, comfortable beds, bathroom. Loved the micro/fridge/safe. Spring water from MDI and iced lemon water on tap was a major bonus!

The staff gave us dog blankets and dog treats for my pets. Very Pet Friendly hotel. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. They had a soup du jour throughout the entire day and a ice coffee station to enjoy. Highly recommend you stay here.
